Difficult to speak with someone:
Sometimes when trying to contact people in other countries it can be difficult. During the process you should trying multiple times before you can get an answer. When they do reply sometimes the information might be the amount of information you need but it is still beneficial.
Excellent Programs
Don't expect the worse childcare
Most of the programs in other countries provide excellent care. Depending on the location and development of the country the funding can offer many opportunities for children. I wish that in America we took education really serious and had more funding for programs.
Face to Face interactions
More hands on interaction
I wish some organizations offered more assistance with the children and families. I think it is great to get information pamphlets or newsletters, but I wish there were other offers for EC professionals around the world to volunteer.
I think that all EC or elementary teachers should do some volunteer work in other countries. Study aboard is something that they can offer teachers for a short period of time(a week or two weeks).
It is sometimes difficult to communicate with others from other countries. I know alot of times when I call 1-800 numbers most of the time I'm always connected to someone foreign. Maybe it would be a good idea for teachers to visit other countries. Maybe it would be helpful it some way or on the other hand it will just be a great experience. Good Luck on Everything!
